A day off!

The university was closed today and it was a daycare day for Bandon, so I got a day off! Nathan and I slept way in (he didn't work until noon today). I did lots of shopping, which tired me out pretty quickly. I came home and played with Dakota for a little bit and did some reading before going to pick Bandon up from daycare.

I'm now still enjoying the quiet. Both girls are content to drift in and out of sleep while I do a little blogging.

My parents and brother came up this weekend to help with the baby's room. Nathan and my dad got the crib and changing table set up. We just need a glider and a few other finishing touches. It's starting to look like a baby room!

Nathan and I have our first baby class tomorrow night. It should be interesting. The only bad thing is that it's scheduled from 7-9pm. Hopefully we can stay awake.

It's a boy!!!!

Had an ultrasound today and there was no doubt about it; It's definitely a boy. He wasn't shy but he made it difficult for the technician to get a good profile view as he liked to keep his hands up by his head and keep moving. The family is so excited and grandma Remmich knew the whole time it was going to be a boy when everyone else thought it would be a girl. Dakota and Bandon already said they will be good big sisters plus now daddy will have at least one other male in the house.

Nathan is home!

Nathan left Sunday morning to do some training on a new machine for work. He was in Indianapolis until Wednesday. I picked him up from the airport just before 10pm last night. It's nice to have him back! The girls were excited to see him too. Bandon smothered him in kisses and her tail didn't stop wagging. Dakota purred and rubbed up against him, begging for him to pet her. It was cute. :) Even this morning Bandon still seemed so happy that Daddy's home.

My parents came and visited us Friday and Sunday. They brought us a snow-blower and two bookshelves (a white one for baby's room and an oak one they are replacing, it looks lovely in our living room!). It was fun to see them.

We have our level two ultrasound scheduled for 2:30pm on Thursday, Nov. 13. This is when they will take all of baby's measurements and also tell us if baby is a boy or girl. :) We're pretty excited!

14 weeks

Tomorrow I hit 14 weeks.

Lately I've been feeling very sick again, and so tired no matter how much sleep I get. I have a checkup next week, and then I get to schedule the "big" ultrasound.

Some good news is that my class for the semester will be over on Wednesday! The bad part is that I have a lot of work to finish up this weekend.

Nate is still fighting his cold off. I hope he will feel better soon. He's been working on clearing out some space in the office. We're hoping to move the full bed from the nursery into the office so there's more room for baby's furniture. Right now there's barely room for a crib.

Bandon is nearly full recovered from being spayed last week. We are looking at beginning an obedience class with her next month.

And Dakota continues to be loveable. Whenever Nate sits down, Kota seems to know. She always finds him and curls up on his lap.

Both girls are definitely "daddy's girls."

Our New Addition

Towards the end of May, Nathan & I found our new addition! She is a red heeler, and oh-so-cute. She is expected to grow up to 40 lbs, currently she is a mere 10. We named her Bandon, after a city in Oregon where we'll be honeymooning very soon.

She is 12 weeks old and already knows "sit." We're working on "lay down" and "shake."
