40 weeks, 4 days

I had my final dr. appt yesterday afternoon. After getting checked, the dr. decided to schedule me to be induced the next day at 7am.

That's only 3 hours away. It's 4am and I'm completely terrified. It might be one of the scariest feelings I've ever had. So here I am, awake, crying, and sitting next to my dog and cat on the living room couch in the still of the night.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow; all I can think about is everything that can go wrong.

The good thing is that very soon I will get to hold him. That is what I am trying to focus on...

Done being pregnant

I wish I was done being pregnant. I'm tired and uncomfortable all day long. And his movements aren't cute or fun anymore. They HURT. My legs and back are especially sore from supporting all the extra weight. I only have about 7 weeks left. It's coming fast, but sometimes 7 weeks sounds like an eternity.

I miss my normal clothes. I miss going for long walks with my dog. I miss walking up the stairs without running out of breath. I miss eating and feeling satisfied after. I miss sleep. I miss not being an emotional basket-case. I miss wearing my wedding ring.

I'm kind of hoping the baby comes a couple weeks early, even though I know post partum is filled with its own wonderful aches and pains.

30 weeks and 6 days

Only 64 days to go, little one!

This past Wednesday, your dad and I attended our first Lamaze class. It had a lot of good information and we met a few other couples who are due within a day of your expected arrival.

You must be growing a lot this week. No matter what, I am always hungry for more food. I bring snacks to work with me every day. Yesterday, I ate all my snacks before 11am - and I was still hungry!

We got your car seat yesterday and Bandon and Dakota sniffed every inch. Don't worry, we'll wash it before you get here. :)

My only current request is that you please settle down by 9:30pm. Mommy needs her sleep.

Drained

Completely drained of all energy. Feeling like this at 26 weeks 4 days is not making me look forward of what's to come. I would love a day off completely to myself. I would take naps, do some reading, and do a little work on baby's room.

The sleep deprivation is awful. I'm always so uncomfortable and wake up frequently during the night.

Only 94 days left until baby's due date. It's coming fast. Yikes! Time is flying. But I'm looking forward to holding my little boy. He gets stronger every day. Many times, his kicks/punches hurt. I keep wondering what he'll look like and what his personality will be like...

23 weeks, 3 days

We got over 10 inches of snow in a blizzard Sunday night.

Monday morning we had a 4-foot snowdrift in our driveway and also a 1-foot drift inside our garage. Nathan got up at 4:30 to get the snow-blower going. He worked for an hour and only cleared a path big enough for one car to fit through.

Once baby is big enough to hold a shovel, he'll be out there alongside his daddy!

Only 16.5 weeks until our little one is due. It's scary to think of it that way.

Hormones have been raging. Yesterday I just needed to cry. No reason. Nothing bad happened. And yet I couldn't stop the tears from spilling over. It's frustrating.

I have another check-up on Thursday. We're also starting to register for classes at the hospital. We're going to be busy.

It's a boy!!!!

Had an ultrasound today and there was no doubt about it; It's definitely a boy. He wasn't shy but he made it difficult for the technician to get a good profile view as he liked to keep his hands up by his head and keep moving. The family is so excited and grandma Remmich knew the whole time it was going to be a boy when everyone else thought it would be a girl. Dakota and Bandon already said they will be good big sisters plus now daddy will have at least one other male in the house.

19 weeks

Finally, many of the bad pregnancy symptoms are going away. Tomorrow afternoon is our level two ultrasound.

I feel like the baby is a girl. We'll find out soon enough!

1 week, 3 days

Until our level two ultrasound! I am so glad work keeps me busy and makes the weeks go fast. Not much longer until we find out if our little Easter bunny is a boy or a girl!

I had a dream last night that Nathan and I were out shopping - with our little boy. It will be interesting to see if that is right or not.

14 weeks

Tomorrow I hit 14 weeks.

Lately I've been feeling very sick again, and so tired no matter how much sleep I get. I have a checkup next week, and then I get to schedule the "big" ultrasound.

Some good news is that my class for the semester will be over on Wednesday! The bad part is that I have a lot of work to finish up this weekend.

Nate is still fighting his cold off. I hope he will feel better soon. He's been working on clearing out some space in the office. We're hoping to move the full bed from the nursery into the office so there's more room for baby's furniture. Right now there's barely room for a crib.

Bandon is nearly full recovered from being spayed last week. We are looking at beginning an obedience class with her next month.

And Dakota continues to be loveable. Whenever Nate sits down, Kota seems to know. She always finds him and curls up on his lap.

Both girls are definitely "daddy's girls."
